Trailmixcilian Pizza
The Crust Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Sunflower Seeds (soaked for at least an hour or overnight)
- 1/2 cup to 1 cup of Water (less water if you want a crustier crust)
- 2 Green Onions
- 1 Tomato
- 1/4 of a Large Bell Pepper (any color)
- 10 Black or Green Olives
- 3 tbsp. of Bragg Liquid Aminos (soy sauce) or Nama Shoyu Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp. of Virgin Olive Oil, or you favorite cooking oil
- 1 tbsp. of Agave Cactus Syrup or Maple Syrup
- 2 tsp. of Oregano
- 2 tsp. of Cumin
- 2 tsp. of Paprika
- 1 tsp. of Basil
- 1 tsp. of Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. of Red Star Nutritional Yeast
- 1/2 tsp. of Cayenne Pepper
Blend all ingredients until a paste is made by the food processor. Add less water for a crustier taste, or just cook/dehydrate longer. If cooking, heat the oven to 425 degrees, line your baking pan with virgin olive oil. Spread ingredients out on the pan evenly and heat for about 20 to 30 minutes, (longer if you want the crust to be drier/crustier). Just remember you will be placing the crust back into the oven after you top it with the cashew cheezeand pizza toppings.
Cheeze Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Cashews (soaked for at least four hours)
- 1/2 of a Red Bell Pepper
- 1 squeezed Lemon or 1 1/2 Limes
- 2 tbsp. of Bragg Liquid Aminos or Nama Shoyu Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp. of Agave Cactus Syrup or Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp. of Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp. or Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp. of Cayenne Pepper
- 1 or 2 Tomatoes (optional)
Take crust out of the oven. Spread the cashew cheeze over the pizza crust evenly. Add your favorite pizza toppings (green onions, pineapple, soy or wheat meats, spinach, black olives, mushrooms, red or white onions, broccoli, tomatoes, pine nuts, Follow Your Heart Cheeze (mozzarella, nacho, or cheddar, etc.) You can even add your favorite tomato sauce before you add the cashew cheeze. Add oregano and any additional spices you like to give a little flare to your pizza. The oven will give off a nice aroma that will make everyone want to holla' back, y'all. Cool for about 10 minutes or longer, so the pizza will be easy to scoop out of the pan. It may have a very soft texture (its great that way). If you desire a drier crust, you may choose not to soak the seeds or cook/dehydrate longer. If you are dehydrating, you may want to do this on high for 24 hours or longer.
