Tyloronie's San Francizzco Treat Raw Apple Smack You Mama It's So Good Pie!
- 1 lb of Pecans or Walnuts (I love the sweet taste of pecans lightly drizzled with maple or agave!)
- 1lb of soaked Raw Cashews (go to Trader Joe's for them or www.rawfood.com)
- 10-15 apples medium sized (organic taste better, use crispy apples)
- 1 lemon or lime
- 3 tsp of cinnamon (or any kind of tasty spices like nutmeg, ginger, etc.)
- 1/4 inch of fresh ginger
- 1 lb of fresh dates (medjool are great, or any soft date that can be manipulated well)
- 2 tbs of Maple Syrup
- 2 tbs of Agave
- 2-4 tsp of Vanilla
Begin with soaking your Raw Cashews or Raw Almonds, Raw Pine-nuts, Raw Macadamias, etc. for about 2-12 hours (longer soaking is better for making a cream with them nuts, oooh child I loves me some nut cream!) Take the soaked nutz and blend or food process them with about 1/3 cup of water, 1 or 2 tsp of Vanilla, 1 tbs of Agave, and voila you have yourself the cream topping of your wet dreams. This is good drizzled over fresh fruit like sliced strawberries, granola, or your gurlfrendz face.
Then crush the pecans in a food processor, blender, or take a zip lock bag and take a hammer and beat the living daylight out of those pecan bastards!) Add cinnamon to the crush nuts. Take some dates that you pitted and manipulate the dates with the pecans into a pie crust or any shape that will be like a bowl, it can be flat if you are using a pie dish. You just mash the dates with your hands or with any kind of tool like your boyfriend.
Take the apples, use a core slicer. I prefer to shred the apple through a food processor using a shredder attachment, shred the 1/4 inch fresh ginger as well. You decide what kind of consistency you want the apples to be in. Take the shredded apples and ginger and place them in a large bowl. Add lemon or lime juice, about half a lemon or one full lime. Add 1 to 2 tsp of Vanilla. Add 2 tbsp of Maple Syrup. Add 2 tbsp of Agave. Add 2 tsp of Spicegirls preferably Sporty Spice, but Ginger Spice might be the way to go, although Posh Spice and Baby Spice are in season, avoid SCARY SPICE (gross), you decide "Spice up your life, SpiceGirlz FOREVER". Mix it all up like a Missy Elliot ((REWIND)) musical moment.
Take the apples and place it in the pie crust, I like to thin slice some apples to create a pie wedge effect. Take the cashew or nut cream (ooh child, that word just gives me the vapors, where's my big ole kosher pickle) and spread it all over the pie romantically.
Take some pecans or walnuts grind them up with some cinnamon and top the pie. I like to take the pecans and blend them with 1 or 2 tbsp of maple syrup and cinnamon and 1 tsp of vanilla and place the candied pecans all over the pie (it's so divine this way heffa)!
Bon Appetite my little Oinkers!
